John has over 35 years of experience providing audit and consulting services to clients in various industries. A significant amount of his background involves delivery of assurance services to the Not-For-Profit sector, including independent schools, higher education, human services and membership organizations. Prior to joining KAF John was a partner in an international CPA firm and served as the Quality Control Assurance Partner of the Boston Office. John's experience includes audit engagement partner on a number of educational and other not-for-profit organizations. He has been a frequent presenter on various topics including understanding financial statement and board governance for not-for-profit organizations.

John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and a former member of its Quality Review Acceptance Board.

John is the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Trustees of Hallmark Health Hospital System and the chair of its finance committee, as well as a member of the Boston College Accounting Department Advisory Board. He received his B.S. degree in Accounting from Boston College and a Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley College.
